FIBRE OPTIC LIGHTING

Fibre optic lighting offers excellent quality "light products", effectively solving the problems linked to safety and it can achieve a large number of scenic single- or multi-coloured lighting effects.
The potential use of fibre optic lighting systems is enormous and only partially explored to date. Using this type of system meets numerous needs: miniaturisation, safety, non invasiveness, versatility, aesthetic appeal.
The main feature of fibre optics for lighting is that it only transmits cold light in the visibility range; so no heat or ultraviolet rays or electrical voltage reaches the extremities.
This system comprises an illuminator that generates light and sends it (minimising any dispersion) to a manifold where the optic guides are gathered.
A special filter is fitted between the illuminator and the manifold to remove thermal radiation (infrared) from the light. The light exiting the optic guides can vary in colour depending on the need for it to be fixed or cyclical.
Suggested uses:

· lighting museums to preserve delicate exhibits,
· flats, offices and shops to create scenarios or particular atmospheres,
· clubs, pubs, stands, shop windows for decorative effects,
· swimming pools, fountains, aquariums to achieve specific lighting effects
· motorway, railway and airport signs for optimal visibility
