PUBLIC LIGHTING

A wise selection of materials (such as light bulbs and ballasts), or control systems such as Electronic Power Controllers allow where possible the reduction in the power rating and luminous flux during certain off-peak periods, as well as avoiding the dissipation of excess energy and at the same time guaranteeing maximum plant functionality.

The benefits obtainable with the adoption of these criteria are:
- Safety in traffic in the workplace: safety understood as "correct" visibility for means of transport, pedestrians and night shift workers, which is of the utmost importance because if it is not optimal, this could lead to serious accidents or glare problems.
- Energy savings: a wise selection of light bulbs, ballasts and any set-value voltage stabilisation systems during normal operation and reduction at night, when the reduced traffic allows it, lead to an electricity saving of between 30% and 50%.
- Savings on maintenance costs: the stabilisation of the voltage performed by the Electronic Power Control device makes it possible to prolong the life of the light bulbs considerably, and even double it at times, thus cutting down on the replacements.

These brightness control systems can upon request be interfaced with a network supervision and remote management system, which makes it possible to manage in an organic and co-ordinated way several plants at the same time, even of differing natures (lighting, traffic lights, thermal power stations, etc.).

The observance of the regulations governing the various sectors is the starting point for the design of the plant, since sensitivity to safety, pollution and energy savings have always been the pillars on which our work method are based.
